The state government has launched a new payment gateway to facilitate the funding of social service projects, Minister for Social Welfare M K Muneer said at a press conference held on the sidelines of the ‘Emerging Kerala’ meet here on Thursday.
The minister said that various companies have evinced keen interest in such projects. “I had held one-to-one talks with many of them. They expressed keen interest in projects for the economically weaker sections. Some of them have already registered under the payment gateway”, he said.
The minister said that the gateway will help in facilitating the payment of donations and in developing projects for the the uplift of the marginalised sections of population. The minister said that the state aims to bring in several projects to ensure social security to its dependent population.
