CPM activists disrupt Congress leader’s speech

In the wake of the revelations made by K Sudhakaran MP’s former driver, a group of CPM workers disrupted Congress leader Karimbath Krishnan’s speech at a function held as a part of the inauguration of the Plantation Corporation’s renovated building on Sunday evening.

The revelations made by Prasanth Babu, former Kannur block secretary of the Congress and municipal councillor  who had also served as a driver of K Sudhakaran, reportedly mentioned Krishnan’s name in the attempted murder case of E P Jayarajan.

The intruders shouted that, ‘murderers don’t deserve to partake in public functions’.

After CPM area secretary K P Valsalan failed to pacify the party workers, the function was dispersed by Plantation Corporation chairman Varghese George. Prasanth Babu had said that the contract killers were supplied with weapons by Krishnan, following Sudhakaran’s direction.
