The person who claimed to be the father of Haseena, who died at the Kasargod General Hospital on June 25, has informed the police here that his daughter and family reached their home in Kozhikode on Sunday.
Mohammed Koya of Chettikulam in Kozhikode came to the hospital on June 27 claiming that Haseena who died at the General Hospital was his daughter. According to the statement given by Koya to the Kumbla police, his daughter Haseena had eloped with Shahul Hameed alias Shafi 10 years ago. She met him when she was working at a beauty parlour near Mavoor Road in Kozhikode. She had no communication with family since then.
“Koya had also filed a complaint. But he has now informed us that his daughter, with her husband and four children, reached their house on Sunday,” said SI Narayanan.
The residents of the tsunami rehabilitation colony where the dead Haseena was living gave their statement to the police on Sunday. The family with whom Haseena was living had been absconding since the incident.
