CBI seeks custody of weapons

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday filed a petition before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court seeking a directive to Magistrate Court to  hand over the weapons seized by the police in the Valakam case.

The weapons are presently kept in the Kottarakkara Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. The case was related to the attack on R Krishnakumar, a teacher at a school owned by former minister R Balakrishna Pillai at Valakam. Krishankumar was found lying injured on the roadside at Valakam on the night of September 27 last year.

Statements Recorded

Meanwhile, the CBI team led by SP  Reghukumar probing into the teacher attack case at Valakam recorded the statements of victim R Krishnakumar and his wife Geetha on Wednesday.
