Temple thief held

A police team led by Mavelikkara Circle Inspector K R Sivasuthan Pillai on Sunday arrested one person in connection with the theft at the Sree Krishnaswami Temple.

The arrested has been identified as Rejukumar, 23, of Rejubhavan, Kambilimala in Nooranad.

His associate, Sajinkumar, 35, of Kallingavila house, Keezhatoor, Neyyattinkara had been remanded in custody by the Mavelikkara Judicial Magistrate Court on Saturday.

The police said that some of the booty was taken out from the hand of Sajinkumar, which led to the arrest of Rejukumar. CI Sivasuthan Pillai said that the arrested person was taken into custody from Pune in Maharashtra.
