Elaborate arrangements have benn made at Navamukunda Temple at Thirunavaya to receive devotees for the ‘Karkadaka Vavu Bali’.
The rituals of the bali will start officially in the wee hours of Thursday. The devotees can perform bali from 2.30am onwards on Thursday. The Bali offering ritual will last till Thursday noon.
“There is a confusion regarding the date of vavu bali. The new moon will only appear at 10pm on Wednesday. So it could not be right to offer the bali on Wednesday. So the vavu bali will be held from Thursday morning on the shores of Bharathapuzha,” Haridas, a Navamukunda temple committee manager said.
However, the temple authorities have made arrangements to offer bali on Wednesday also. Devotees who come on Wednesday can offer bali till noon.
