Government: NDF, PFI role in 27 murders

The state government on Wednesday submitted before the Kerala High Court that radical outfits Popular Front of India (PFI) and National Democratic Front (NDF) have played active role in 27 murders across the state and that PFI has links with Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), a banned organisation.

“Murders were mostly against the CPM and RSS men,” the state said.

It made the submission on a petition filed by PFI seeking a directive to the police to decide on its application for conducting freedom parade at Erattupetta, Ponnani, Koyilandy and Kollam on August 15.

Though the freedom parade may be harmless, there is a greater danger while looking through the angle of sovereignty, the state said.
