A 75-year-old died after he was struck by an auto rickshaw at Poothotta on Monday.
According to the police, the deceased is Raghavan, of Moothedathu house, near Poothotta. The incident occurred while he was walking along Panakaveli Road at 10.20 am.
He is survived by wife Karthyani, children Sudhakaran, Kaladharan and Ajayan. Mohanan, 52, a resident of Poothotta, was also injured in the incident. The police further said that a case has been registered against autorickshaw driver T Varkey, 64, a native of Vaikom.
