Training camp for Sabarimala volunteers from September 11

The Sabarimala Ayyappa Seva Samajam, the voluntary organisation engaged in offering basic facilities to pilgrims at Sabarimala, will organise a five-day state-level training camp for its volunteers, at Koonamkara Sabari Sarana Ashramam, near Perunad, from Tuesday.

Samajam national general secretary Kummanam Rajasekkaran said that about 500 volunteers from across the state will participate in the camp.

Pandalam Palace coordination committee president Rama Varma Raja will inaugurate the camp at 10 am.

Swami Vedananda Saraswathi of Peruva Gitamandiram Ashramam would preside over the function. Swami Viswaroopananda Saraswathi and Swami Ayyappadas would speak on the occasion.

Mattappally Janardhan, Swami Prabhakarananda Saraswathi, Raju Poonajar, V K Viswanathan, Ravindranathan, Jayasuryan, Hilal and S Sivadas would conduct special classes at the camp.
