VS mulls visiting Koodankulam

Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan said on Monday that he was thinking about going to Koodankulam to express solidarity with the people engaged in the agitation against the functioning of the nuclear plant.

He was responding to the queries of mediapersons on whether he had plans to visit  Koodankulam.  However, the CPM had taken an open stand against the agitation and had advised the party workers there to abstain from the agitation.

It had also asked the Opposition leader not to visit Koodankulam. In view of the party’s stand against the agitation, VS’ statement gains significance.
