K J Mathew, Chairman of the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC) and former Chief Secretary, Kerala, died here on Tuesday night. The end came at a private hospital. He was 63.
He was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago, after being diagnosed with dengue fever. He is survived by wife Molly Mathew, son Danny Mathew and daughter Saritha. The funeral will be held later. He was appointed Chief Secretary in 2009 and retired in the same year.
