All courts in the country will be computerised in three years, said Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid.
Speaking after inaugurating the bicentennial celebrations of the District Court here on Saturday, he said that the, judicial system in the country would be strengthened during the period.
The government has envisaged various programmes to bring the judicial system closer to common man, including the National Justice Delivery Mission, launch of the National Judicial Services and expansion of the National Legal Services Authority.
High Court Acting Chief Justice Manjula Chellur, in her presidential address, said that the lower courts in the state had a good track record.
Health Minister V S Sivakumar, Justice Pius C Kuriakose, Justice Thottathil Radhakrishnan, Justice Siri Jagan, Shashi Tharoor MP, district judge B Sudheendrakumar, District Collector K N Satheesh and Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association president K P Jayachandran spoke at the function.
