V Diju, ace shuttler, tied the knot in a private ceremony in Vadakara near here on Sunday.
Ramanattukara-native Diju married Sowmya, a doctor from Vadakara, at a function attended by prominent personalities in the badminton world including Jwala Gutta, his mixed doubles partner with whom he represented the country in the 2012 London Olympics. A marriage reception was held later in the evening at Hotel Asma Tower.
