In a joint operation, the Shadow Police and Tripunithura Hill Palace police arrested a person for selling banned tobacco products from East Fort here on Friday.
The accused is John Paul, 50, a resident of Puthiyakavu. The police seized around hundred packets of banned tobacco products from his shop. The arrest was based on a tip-off received by Special Branch Commissioner Tomy Sebestain.
The operation team members included Tripunithura Sub Inspector P R Santhosh and Shadow Police Sub Inspector Mohammed Nizar.
