‘Rulers not taking steps to solve nation’s issues’

RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said that the rulers were not taking proper steps to solve the problems being faced by the nation, citing the recent outbreak of violence in Assam.

He was speaking at the inauguration of ‘Jagratha sangamam’, which was held as part of the  concluding ceremony of the RSS district leaders’ camp on Sunday at the EMS stadium here.

“The people of the country are facing a lot of issues. The rulers are not taking proper steps to solve the problems, they are only discussing the matters.

“There have been reports of intrusion into Assam.  Though the High Court and various agencies had alerted the state and the centre about the matter, the governments did not act properly, and that resulted in the Assam riot.  The governments should take action instead of just discussing the issues”, he said.

He said that the stability of the country will be endangered if the rich old  tradition of the country based on Hindu samaj becomes delicate.

He said that talented and efficient personalities would  work inside the villages through the Hindu Samaj to bring in changes in the country”, he said.

“ Some people are saying that the RSS should adapt to changes. But  the problems persist even after a change is adapted in  the style of functioning of an organisation”, he said.

Alappuzha district  sangha chalak N Krishna Pai presided over the function. Kshethriya sangha chalak Vannirajan, Kerala pranth sangha chalak P E B Menon,  Akhila Bharathiya  Seema Kallyan Manch saha premukh  A Gopalakrishnan and   Alappuzha district kariyavahak S Jayakrishnan participated at the function.
