Police: Buela underwent treatment for depression

Buela N Sam, the woman who managed to gain entry into the ISRO campus in Bangalore, suffered from mental depression and had undergone treatment at a mental clinic here, according to information gathered by the Punalur police.

The Punalur police conducted a preliminary investigation about her, amidst reports that the investigation team probing the incident might reach the district on Tuesday night.

However, Kollam Rural SP K B Balachandran said that they had not received any official intimation from the investigating team about its arrival in the district.

He said that the Rural Police would extend all support to the investigation.

The investigation leads to Punalur, as Buela had reportedly told the police that she forged the identity card at a studio here.

The Kollam Rural Police said that there were over 20 photo studios in the town and locating the studio without proper information would be difficult.

Punalur police said that she was in her family house at Netaji Road here from September 11 to 17, to attend the funeral of her father.
