Youth Congress Convention begins

It was a grand beginning for the Youth Congress Convention of the Chalakkudy Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday.

Processions led by various leaders, including P H Mahesh, P B Suneer and Seby V Kidangan, converged at Paravoor Junction on Tuesday and proceeded to Town Hall, marking the beginning of the convention. A motorcade also accompanied the procession. Youth Congress leader K S Bineesh hoisted the flag, kick-starting the convention, which will end on September 28. A large number of activists from various places gathered at Town Hall on Wednesday as part of a grand convention and the co-ordination committee meet.

A photo exhibition will be conducted as part of the meet on Thursday. Later in the day, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate a general meeting of the Youth Congress activists, in which Central and state ministers, MPs, MLAs and KPCC and DCC office-bearers will participate.With the inauguration of the Youth Congress representative convention by UDF convener P Phankachan on Friday, the convention will come to a grand close.
