CM urged to make stand clear on Industrial Policy

Former Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac has asked the Chief Minister to make the stand clear on the industrial policies of the state.

When the government is trying to welcome the industrialists through meets such as Emerging Kerala and other summits, most of the Public Sector Companies are on the verge of closure. The previous LDF Government had established 10 public sector companies, but those companies are trying to introduce bailout one by one.

The companies including, Excel Glass House, Alappuzha, are on the verge of closure, Isaac said.

“The Kitex was one of the major labour donor in the state.

“Their decision to close down shutters and relocate to another state will cause a huge blow to the state. So the government and the Chief Minister should clarify their stand on the issue and do something to revive the industries,” he said.
