Swamipaadam, an ‘Express’ special feature on Sabarimala pilgrimage, was released here on Saturday morning, the first day of Malayalam month Vrischikam.
At an elegant function held at the Sopanam of the Lord Ayyappa temple, Thantri Kandararu Maheswararu handed over the first copy to Devaswom Minister V S Sivakumar in the presence of Travancore Devaswom Board president M P Govindan Nair.
The minister lauded ‘Express’ for bringing out a classy product for the devotees of Lord Ayyappa across the state. TDB member Subhash Vasu, Devaswom Commissioner P Venugopal, ADGP A Hemachandran, Sabarimala executive officer Mohandas, KMRL joint managing director Anil Panicker, CMRL general manager Ajith Kartha, ‘The New Indian Express’ Assistant General Manager (Kerala) P Suresh Kumar and Assistant General Manager (sales) P Vishnu Kumar were also present. The 36-page booklet will be distributed to the readers free of cost along with ‘The New Indian Express’ shortly.
