Emerging Kerala Business Conclave and Awards 2013, in connection with the 19th edition of DC International Book Fair, will be held at the Hotel Crowne Plaza here on October 31.
Ravi Dee Cee, chief executive officer, DC Books, said that this is the first-of-its-kind platform to celebrate the all-round success of Kerala’s booming economy. The event is aimed to encourage, promote and honour the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME )and corporates alike.
The event will be followed by a motivational workshop by renowned corporate trainer Shiv Khera at the same venue on Nov 1. The programmes and awards at the conclave are designed with a mission to create and inspire visionary leaders and global enterprises, said Ravi.The occasion will bring together the who’s who of Kerala, including key policy-makers, political leaders, and dignitaries from across the wide economic spectrum.
CM Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the award function. Finance Minister K M Mani and Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty will be the special guests at the conclave on October 31.
Madhav Lal, secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, P H Kurian, IT principal secretary, Ajay K Thakur, chief executive, Mumbai Stock Exchange SME, Capt Krishnan Nair, chairman, Leela Group of Hotels, Rajesh Nair, president, Ernst and Young, and Rashid Al Leem, director general, Hamriyah Free Zone will participate.
The awards have been classified into 10 categories: Most socially committed entrepreneur of the year, most respected NRI contributor of the year, lifetime achiever award, most influential brand of Kerala, young entrepreneur of the year, best professional of the year, best MSME entrepreneur, Best MSME, best startup, and most innovative MSME.
