A Russian tourist who created problems aboard a Doha-Thiruvananthapuram flight and later at the airport terminal was arrested by the police on Wednesday.
The tourist was identified as Maria Kondrashova, 34, of Moscow. She had flown to Thiruvananthapuram from Moscow via Doha and the Qatar Airways flight had landed here at 3.30 a m.
On board, she had created problems, allegedly in a drunken state, and later allegedly assaulted the CISF personnel at the airport here. The CISF handed her over to the Valiyathura police. She has been remanded in custody up to Nov 5.
