KALPETTA: The people residing on either side of Karamanathodu and the villages in the low-lying areas close to the tributaries of the Kabani river should be on alert as there is a possibility of opening the shutters of the Banasura Sagar Dam of the Kuttyadi Hydro-Electric project with the unprecedented rise in the level of water in the reservoir, an official release has said.
