Admission to New HSS Batches

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Admission to newly sanctioned 700 Higher Secondary batches in the state will begin on August 11. Students can apply for various courses in the 131 newly-sanctioned Higher Secondary schools in 131 panchayats and to 143 courses in 95 schools  (from Ernakulam to Kasaragod) which were upgraded to Higher Secondary.

Admissions will also be given to 426 additional batches sanctioned in existing Higher Secondary schools. In order to get admission to newly-sanctioned Higher Secondary schools, students should submit applications in the prescribed format to the respective schools.

The admission will be made on the basis of merit and reservation norms prescribed in the Higher Secondary prospectus of 2014-15 academic year.

Admission to the additional batches will be done through the single-window system. In the first stage, students who got admission in the merit and sports quota, will be given the opportunity to change the school and course combination. To fill additional vacancies, applications will be invited for supplementary allotment. Classes of newly-sanctioned schools and batches would begin on August 20.
