KOTTAYAM : Police have arrested five men in connection with the alleged suicide of girl. Two girls, both plus one students were found lying unconscious in a by-lane between TVS road and private bus stand, Kanjirappally on Monday. One of them who hailed from Ponkunnam died while the other, who hails from Koovappally, is undergoing treatment at a hospital here.
According to sources, the girls may have been sexually exploited by a gang based in Ponkunnam. Though the police are yet to confirm the new developments, sources said ‘Express’ that five men have been arrested. It is suspected that three of them may have been directly involved in the case.
