THRISSUR: Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi chairman Surya Krishnamurthy, who is also the chairman of Cultural and Medal Presentation Committee of the 35th National Games, conceptualised the idea of digital victory stand for winners of the various events in the 35th National Games and developed the prototype of the victory stand to be presented to winners.

According to the plan, during the medal presentation ceremony, visuals representing the winner’s state will be displayed on the video wall along with background music. The National Games’ theme music and visuals will also be played, before and after the ceremony. The digital stand will be used for presenting medals for individual events only. It will also be used for displaying information during track and field events.

The stand will be setup in such a way that it can be seen from any part of the stadium. To be made as per approved norms and guidelines, the use of the stand will be subject to clearance by the Indian Olympic Association and Games Technical Committee, said the organisers.
