Probe Ordered into Graft Charges

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Lok Ayuktha has entrusted  ADGP, North Zone, Sankar Reddy with the preliminary inquiry into the allegations of corruption and misappropriation of public property for the establishment of the proposed Kannur Airport.

 In its order, Lok Ayuktha Justice Pius C Kuriakose and Upa Lok Ayuktha Justice K K Dinesan said the ADGP could constitute a team which shall include SP or DySP from the investigation agency of the Lok Ayuktha.

 The Lok Ayuktha gave the order in a complaint by one A K Shaji alleging corruption and misappropriation of public property during acquisition of land for the establishment of the airport.

 Justice Kuriakose and Upa Lok Ayuktha Justice Dinesan said Reddy would be the right person to inquire as Kannur falls within the zone where he works.
