Bizman Abducted in Itanagar

KOTTAYAM: A Malayali businessman at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, hailing from Puthuppally, has been reportedly abducted by an unidentified group from his business place on Thursday night.

K P Chacko of Pappalaprambil house, Manganam, near Puthuppally, was believed to be abducted by certain extremist groups there.

Chacko has been running his own business in Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh, for the past many years.

According to information received by his relatives back home, a group of youngsters had taken him forcibly out of his shop by 8.30 pm on Thursday.

The relatives said that police had launched a search operation and that the State government authorities in Kerala have also been alerted. Chacko’s family is in Kerala, and he had visited his relatives recently, according to reports.
