KSRTC Yet to Get Rs 1,000 cr

KOCHI: Kerala State Road Transport Corporation on Friday submitted before the Kerala High Court that the corporation is yet to get `1,000 crore from various government departments.

The KSRTC further submitted before the court that the corporation is finding it hard to repay the loan amounts and pension amounts. If the operation expenses alone are taken into consideration, the Corporation is in profit. But taking into account the loan repayment, interest, pension liability and other related expenses, the expenditure surpasses the revenue, KSRTC submitted.

The KSRTC made the submission in response to the 17 petitions against non-payment of pension amount to its retired employees.
