CHENGANNUR: CPM politburo member and former state general secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said the editorial of Congress supported newspaper Veekshanam for inviting CPI to the United Democratic Front (UDF) is unnecessary and deceptive in the current political situation in Kerala.
While speaking to media at the occasion of the inauguration of Palliative Care project of the party at Chengannur he said that earlier the same demand was denied by the central and state leaders of the CPI. "CPI is the part of LDF for around three decades. Some superiors of the Veekshanam newspaper is publishing many farcical ideas on the paper. Many congress leaders rejected the stand of the Veekshanam news paper. Common people will disdained the idea of Veekshanam," he said.
