'TP Murder Probe Far from over': Ramesh Chennithala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala on Monday told the Assembly that the probe into the murder of RMP leader T P  Chandrashekaran was still on and the government wants to bring out the conspiracy angle.  Though the government had sought a CBI inquiry, the Central agency had refused to probe the case saying that the matter was already being investigated by the state police, he said while replying to a submission moved by V D Satheesan.

Noting that the only hindrance in moving ahead with the investigation is with respect to getting details of phone calls, he said that the government had written a  letter  to Centre for getting details from the service providers. “The mobile phone service providers had rejected to give the call details. Hence we had approached the Centre,” he said.

He added the government approached the CBI after K K Rema had demanded a CBI probe to bring out out the conspiracy behind the murder.
