KOCHI: Stirring up a hornet’s nest, the solar scam accused Biju Radhakrishnan on Wednesday deposed before the solar commission that he possessed video tapes of six prominent persons ruling the state, including Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, having ‘conversation and physical relationship’ with Saritha S Nair. Besides the CM, Radhakrishnan said he has clippings of ministers - Shibu Baby John, K P Anil Kumar, Aryadan Shoukath, son of Aryadan Muhammad, Hibi Eden MLA and Nazarulla, personal assistant of Anil Kumar.
Radhakrishnan deposed that Rs 5.5 crore was paid to Chandy as bribe for allocating two solar and wind energy projects in Palakkad and Idukki respectively. While deposing before Justice G Sivarajan, Radhakrishnan said this could be his “deathbed confession” as his life could be under threat after revealing the names. According to Radhakrishnan, after the arrest of Saritha in 2013, he travelled from Coimbatore to Thiruvananthapuram via Madurai and Sucheendram to meet Chandy. During the meeting, Radhakrishnan showed video tapes of five persons to Chandy.
