Kollam All Set to Welcome PM

KOLLAM:  Preparations have almost been completed for the Prime Minister’s visit to Kollam for the unveiling ceremony of the statue of the late chief minister R Sankar at SN College here on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister will arrive at the helipad at Ashramam ground at 2.30 pm. From there, he will go to the statue unveiling ceremony venue by road at 2.35 pm.

The work of the air-conditioned retiring room at the college for the Prime Minister to take rest was not completed on Monday evening. An emergency accommodation facility for the Prime Minister has been arranged at the Kollam Police Club and the principal’s room of the newly-built Sree Narayana Guru College of Legal Studies. The college will be dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minster. Even as the enclosure at the venue is set up to accommodate 5,000 people, a maximum of 7,000 can be accomodated in it.
