VACB Has Filed 345 Cases: HM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three hundred and forty-five corruption cases had been registered by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB), including 12 against top government officials, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said on Thursday.

The minister refused to acknowledge former Prisons DGP Alexander Jacob’s controversial statement that 20 per cent of the jail inmates in the state were innocent.
