12 Injured in Accident

PATHANAMTHITTA: At least 12 people including Sabarimala pilgrims were injured in a collision between two autorickshaws and a tipper lorry at Kaippattoor. The vehicles were capsized.

Six pilgrims suffered serious injuries and were admitted to Kottayam Medical College. Santhosh, 35, Devika, 8, daughter of Santhosh, Satheesh, brother of Santhosh, Premachandran, 55, Rahul, 23, travelling in one of the auto-rickshaw’s suffered injuries in the accident. Sudheesh, 45, Premachandran, 27, Ramachandran, 27, Ranjith, 23, Aravind, 18, and Rajith, 20 travelling in the other auto-rickshaw suffered injuries.  Vasukuttan, 53, was also injured and has been admitted to general hospital.
