THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: S Kuttappan Chettiar is the new chairman of the Kerala State Poultry Development Corporation (KSPDC). A government order issued by the Department of Agriculture on December 19 said that K Padmakumar had been removed from the post with immediate effect and Chettiar had been appointed in his place.
Chettiar is the president of the Kerala Vanika Vaisya Sangham and the director of the State Backward Classes Department Corporation.
Padmakumar is the SNDP Union president of Pathanamthitta and is an accused in the SNDP microfinance scam.
