KOCHI: : The Aluva Police on Tuesday registered case against the KSRTC bus conductor who allegedly misbehaved with social activist Daya Bai the other day.
Case has been registered against K N Shailan, who is attached to the Vadakkencherry depot of the KSRTC, based on a complaint filed by Daya Bai with the Thrissur City Police Commissioner. The case was later transferred to Aluva as the incident took place in Aluva. Daya Bai was allegedly verbally abused by the crew of the bus while she was travelling from Thrissur to Aluva. According to the social activist, the conductor used abusive language and forced her to disembark from the bus, much before it reached her destination.
Deputy Superintendent of Police P P Shams said case was registered against the driver under Sections-294 (b) and 509 of the IPC (use of obscene language intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
