VS Flays Kummanam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More voices of protest are coming out against BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan’s remarks on non-Hindu traders on temple premises.  Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan said on Tuesday that Kummanam was trying to stir up a communal riot in the state and was exhorting for the same.

In a strongly-worded statement, Achuthanandan said that with the appointment of Kummanam, the BJP had been completely brought under the RSS and the attempt was to create communal polarisation. The BJP state chief had come up with such a communal statement at a time when the Sangh Parivar had restarted its activities for Ram temple construction at Ayodhya.  Achuthanandan said that the BJP was trying to replicate its North Indian model of making gains through communal polarisation.
