A Watchdog Narration of Child Abuse

KOZHIKODE:  With a wholly different take of the child sexual abuse, the short film ‘Kikki’, released on YouTube on Wednesday, portrays the issue of rising abuses against children.

A Bluewater production, the film is said to be the realization of a city-based team of young engineering graduates.Even with no actors, the film conveys the  emotional and physical trauma of a girl being abused sexually many times.

The movie progresses with a protagonist Kikki narrating her life. Apart from a few shots showing the rear of the protagonist as well as that of a blurred view of the abuser, no actors are shown in the movie.Dolls represent the rest of the characters: human, animals and other inanimate objects.  

The film is directed by Vaisakh G Ashok, a native of Thiruvananthapuram while rest of the crew are from Kozhikode.
