THRISSUR: Mahila Congress State secretary Indira Radhakrishnan(64) passed away at her residence here on Monday.
She was rushed to the hospital after she fainted in the bathroom of her house at Mathilakom around 6 pm.
Heart disease has been diagnosed as the cause of death. She has also served as the Mahila Congress district president and Congress Mathilakom block secretary. She has also worked as a director of the District Cooperative Bank.
She was elevated to the position of state secretary in 2012. She is the wife of late Madathiparambil Radhakrishnan and is survived by her sons Rishikesh, Raikesh and daughter in law Shali.
The funeral will be held at 4 pm on Tuesday at her home in Mathilakom.
