KOZHIKODE: Want to have European style home decors with an Indian touch to add beauty to your homes? Yes? Then do not forget to drop by at the ‘Home Textile Fair’, the seasonal home décor fair hosted by the Village Shop at the IMA Hall. The exhibition has on display a number of unique items that can give your interiors a classic makeover.  Cozy cushions, rugs, snuggling throws for sitting rooms, soft Kaftans, bed spreads, quilts, bed runners, embroidered bedsheets, duvets, pillow covers and fillers to decorate the bedroom with distinctive English country feel are available at the exhibition.

Apart from home décor, the show also offers home apparel and personal care products. Laundry bags, tote bags, shopping bags, shoe rack, products for kitchen use like aprons, kitchen towels, micro mitts, double mitts to handle hot kitchen wares, dish clothes, covers for water dispenser and refrigerator handles are put up at the exhibition.

“Washable cushion is one of the unique products we offer at the show. The cushion as a whole can be washed in the washing machine and as we have manufactured the products in our own mill at Kannur, the products are being sold at the manufacturing rate. The products at a price range of `120 to `3000 are available at the exhibition,” says Beena Selvaraj, the owner of the Village Shop. Designer bath towels with embroideries of Christmas tree, strawberry and batik prints, an array of other cotton towels and school snack towels (5 pieces set) all priced to suit every purse are also on display. Bath linen, Bath mats, Terri towels, waffle towels and spongy organic cotton towels are other attractive additions.

The highlight of the expo is that Village Shop has its own designer units and mills at Kannur and all the products on display will be one-of-a-kinds to dress up home. Those interested can also place orders for custom designs to suit their tastes.

The expo, which commenced at the IMA Hall in the city on Thursday, will conclude on February 20.
