'Left will Challenge Centre's Policies'

KOTTAYAM: Setting the tone for deliberations in the 22nd state conference of the CPI here on Friday, party general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy came down heavily on the right-wing economic policies and pampering of Hindutva agenda by the Modi Government, and declared that CPI and Left forces in country were ready to accept the challenge.

“People have started rejecting the policies of Modi as he has cheated them with false promises. The vote share of BJP has come down by 10 per cent in elections after the LS polls. In Delhi, the BJP was wiped out,’’ he said, adding that the Left would strengthen its unity to counter BJP government.

Reddy said Modi is silent on the consistent acts of intolerance of the Hindutva forces in various parts of the country, be it against the minorities or the cultural, social and literary personalities.
