KAKKANAD: The Regional Transport Officer on Tuesday suspended the licence of a bus driver after a pregnant woman fell down from the bus. RTO K M Shaji suspended the licence of Sijo Thomas, driver of a private bus plying between Piravom and Vyttila, based on a complaint filed by victim, Shinu Manu.
The accident occurred on June 26 at the Vytila Mobility Hub, while Shinu was travelling to her home at Piravom. “The licence was suspended for six months, considering the sensitive nature of the incident,” the RTO said.
