Religious Forces Behind UDF's Win, Alleges CPM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  The CPM state secretariat has stated that caste and religious forces were mobilised behind the UDF to retain the seat at Aruvikkara. In a statment issued here the party said it would study the result carefully.It has also expressed concern over the growth of BJP and said that under the UDF rule communal divide was more clear in the state.  “It is a warning. Kerala should maintain more vigil,” the statement said.

The CPM would concentrate in strengthening the unity of the democratic and secular forces.The statement said UDF had got only 39.66 percent votes and majority of the votes were polled against the government.
