KOLLAM:Three persons were arrested for looting migrant labourers at Paripally. The arrested have been identified as Sujith, 24, of Chathannoor, Nandu, 20, of Paripally and a juvenile from Velamanoor.

Incidentally, both Sujith and Nandu are sons of notorious thieves Theevetti Babu and Kannada Babu respectively.

According to the anti-theft squad, the trio used to find the labour camp to rob in the morning and carry out the deed by night.

Such attacks on labour camps have increased in Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram of late.  Most of the labour camps that got  robbed were in far-flung areas which were sparsely populated.

Migrant workers do not go to the police with complaints, which makes them easy targets, said Paripally SI S Jayakrishnan.
