THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted permission to former Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Vinod Rai for conducting auditing in the four Trusts under the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple here.
The temple executive committee should bear the cost of the audit and the Trusts should make all the documents available for the audit.
The court also gave directions to undertake proper repair to the idol and ensure utmost importance to the temple’s safety.
Meanwhile, the temple chief executive officer K N Satheesh has reportedly filed a report saying that devotees are being discriminated during darshan times.
He pointed out that when the Temple Trust members conduct visits to the temple, the devotees were being evicted from the temple.
