KAKKANAD:The government will extend all help to those who act for the benefit of society, said Minister for Public Works V K Ibrahim Kunju. He was speaking after inaugurating the ‘ice cream to prosperity’ programme organised by the Ernakulam district panchayat here on Monday.
“The Ernakulam district panchayat has always taken various efforts for the benefit of society. The welfare activities they adopted during the course of time have resulted in getting an award from the chief minister. The other panchayats should take this as a model,” Ibrahim Kunju said.The project-ice cream to prosperity- is envisaged to provide employment opportunity to the unemployed SC people. The panchayat has selected 35 candidates for distributing the ice canopy.
“We are taking the challenge of providing 200 ice cream canopies to the unemployed youth. The process to identify the beneficiaries has also started,” said district panchayat president Eldhose Kunnappilly while presiding over the function.
