6 Lakh Saplings to be Distributed

KOTTAYAM: In order to increase the green cover, the Forest and Wildlife Department has planted as many as 6,080 saplings in the streets of the district and has distributed a whopping 18,95,300 saplings to the public during 2014-15 period. The assistant forest conservator has informed that as many as 6,24,300 saplings are ready for distribution for the year 2015-16.  A financial aid of ` 1,80,680  was distributed to 20 people to grow plants in their lands.
