Police Getting Ready for Madhani's Visit

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Police have put in place security arrangements for the visit of PDP leader and Bangalore serial blast accused Abdul Nassar Madhani. Officials told ‘Express’ that they were yet to receive the itinerary of Madhani from the Karnataka Police till Friday evening. The arrangements will be finalised after receiving it, they said.

The Supreme Court had sanctioned five-day parole to Madani to visit his ailing parents. His mother is undergoing treatment at the Regional Cancer Centre and his paralysed father is at his residence at Mynagapalli.  As earlier, the court has directed the Karnataka Police to provide security for Madhani. In 2013, Madhani had visited the state for his daughter’s marriage. A team led by a Deputy Commissioner of Police from Karnataka had accompanied him then.

Unconfirmed reports said Madhani would land in the capital on Saturday. As per the information so far, Madhani will be in two districts in the state during the visit - Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.
