KOTTAYAM: Shone George, former general secretary of the Kerala Congress (M) and son of former chief whip P C George, has been removed from the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board, reports said on Wednesday.

The order issued by the government in this regard has also mentioned the appointment of Cyriac Chazhikkadan, general secretary of the Kerala Congress (M) and son of former MLA Thomas Chazhikkadan, to the post.  Shone had earlier been expelled from the party on charges of anti-party activities.

Cyriac, who is pursuing higher studies at M G University for Gandhian Thoughts and Development Studies, has already served as social media coordinator of the Kerala Youth Front (M) and state general secretary of the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement among various other posts.
