Safi Institute Boy Bags First Green Student Award

KOZHIKODE: Second year MCJ student of Safi Institute, Vazhayoor, V M Sadiqali has been selected for the maiden Green Student award instituted by Friends of Nature. Sadiqali’s photographs on wild life, environment and biodiversity landed him the award. His activities towards creating awareness on greenscape too was taken into consideration.  A jury including MES Medical college psychology department head Suni Muraleedharan, PSMO college biology professor P Mujeeb Rahman and Friends of Nature secretary M P Chandran selected Sadiqali entries made by a lage number of students from various colleges all over the state.

The award, comprising of a purse of Rs 10,000, a plaque and a memento, will presented to him on May 22 at Costford head office at Ayyanthole, Thrissur.

Sadiqali hails from Nilambur in Malappuram district and is the son of Moosa Haji and Fathima.

The award was announced at a press conference by Friends of Nature, which was represented by chairman Hamidali O, executive director Dr H Habeeb Rahman, vice-chairman Nasarulla Vazhakkad, general secretary Rafeeq Babu M S, secretary P P Vijesh Perumanna, district coordinator Sreejesh V Nellikode and A Hafiz Rahman.
